2010 Eric Sevareid Awards Announced
At the annual awards banquet of the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the
organization presented a total of 248 awards to stations from all over the six state region.
The awards represent the best work done in a variety of categories during calendar year 2009.

In addition to the Severaid Awards, the NBNA honored WCCO Radio's Steve Murphy with it's highest
honor, the Mitchell V. Charnley Award. The Charnley Award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding
contributions to the field of journalism. Awarded first in 1968, the honor goes to a person who is working or
has roots in the six-state region. NBNA also awarded Jeff Baenen of the Minnesota Associated Press with a President's Award
in recognition of his many years of service as the laiason between the Minnesota AP and the NBNA.
